This Privacy Policy explains how MY HOMA, LLC ("MyHoma," "we," "us") collects, uses, discloses and keeps personal information when you use MyHoma — the MyHoma apps for iPhone and Android, the web app at myhoma.com/app and the website myhoma.com (the "Service"). MyHoma is an AI for emotional wellbeing for adults 18 and over in the United States. It is not a medical device and not for emergencies.
Our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy (myhoma.com/consumer-health-data) explains how we handle consumer health data under the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar state laws. Our plain-language summary is at myhoma.com/privacy. If a summary and this Policy ever differ, this Policy controls.

Who distributes the app. On Apple's App Store the MyHoma app is listed under the seller name In2website LLC, which publishes it on behalf of MY HOMA, LLC under an agreement with us. MY HOMA, LLC provides the Service and is solely responsible for it, its content, support, subscriptions and your personal information. In2website LLC does not receive your conversations or account data; Apple gives it only the sales and download reports it gives every seller.
2. NOTICE AT COLLECTION
This section is our notice at collection under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). We collect the categories of personal information listed in section 3, for the purposes in section 4. We disclose them only to the service providers in section 5, for the job each one does for us. We do not sell or share personal information (section 6). We keep each category for the time stated in section 7.
3. WHAT WE COLLECT
We collect only what the Service needs. Before you create an account and agree to it, nothing you say is saved: a no-account preview conversation is held only in our server's memory and discarded ten minutes after it ends, unless you create an account and keep it.
- Account: your email address, how you sign in (Google, Apple, or a password, which we keep only as a secure hash), your confirmation that you are 18 or older, your date of birth (asked at sign-up, to check that you are 18 or older), the first name you give us, and your US state.
- Profile (what you choose to add): your last name, a nickname, your postal address (street, city, state and ZIP code), your phone number (confirmed with a one-time text code) and a profile photo.
- Audio: your microphone during a call, to hear you and answer you; once you have an account and agree to saving, the audio recording of the call; and a recording you dictate into your journal, turned into text and not kept.
- Camera stills: while you turn your camera on in a call, a still picture every few seconds so Homa can see you, and a short description of it in words. They are not stored.
- Voice-tone and expression sensing (off unless you switch it on): a one-word reading of the tone of your voice or your expression, such as "sad" or "smiling", used for that moment of the conversation. It is not stored.
- Conversations (once you have an account; creating an account is your agreement to saving, and saving stops only when you delete the account): what you and Homa said in calls and in the chat, short notes Homa writes after a conversation, and what she remembers about you (memories).
- What you add yourself: mood check-ins, journal entries, calendar entries, and your answers to the first questions.
- Attached files: the profile photo you choose from your phone or computer is the only file the Service accepts from you.
- Safety (crisis) records: when something said in a conversation shows signs that someone may be in danger, a record of that event, with the words that triggered it and the time, for our staff to review, and a safety level on your account (such as passive, active or crisis), so that staff can follow up.
- Plan and purchases: your plan, its dates and status, how much of your weekly face time and daily voice time you have used, and, for a store purchase, a random account code. Card details stay with Stripe, Apple or Google; we never see your card number.
- Consents: every permission you give or take back, with the words you were shown and when.
- Quality grades: after a conversation, our own system grades how well Homa's replies listened and helped, turn by turn, so that staff can check and improve her answers.
- Reports and feedback: a reply you report, with your reason and note, and messages you send us.
- Technical information: your IP address and requests to our servers, and, under a random code for each call and not linked to your account, call-quality numbers (connection speed and steadiness, network type, device model and system version, and how long Homa took to answer). We count a few steps in the app, such as starting a conversation, without your name or account.
We get this information from you, from your device's microphone and camera while you use them, from Google or Apple if you sign in with them (your email and name), from Apple and Google about store purchases, and from our own systems, which write the conversation notes, memories and safety records.
4. HOW WE USE IT
- To provide the Service: to hear you and answer you, show Homa's face, keep and recall your conversations if you agree, and run your plan.
- To keep people safe: to check every conversation for signs of danger, show crisis resources, keep a safety level on your account, and let our staff review safety events and follow up.
- To check and improve quality: authorized staff may read conversations, with the grades our system gives Homa's replies, to check how she answers, to improve her, and to look into reports.
- Authorized staff may also read the notes and memories Homa keeps about you, only for a stated reason (safety, quality, a report, or your request), and each access is logged.
- To secure the Service and prevent abuse, to verify your email and phone number, and to answer your messages and reports.
- To improve how well calls work, using the call-quality numbers and step counts, which are not linked to you.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax, auto-renewal and safety record-keeping, and to enforce our Terms.
We do not use your personal information for advertising.
5. WHO RECEIVES IT
We disclose personal information only to these service providers, under contract, for the job listed, and to authorities when the law requires it. Each service provider is bound by its contract with us to protect personal information with the same or equal protection as this policy, and to use it only to provide its service to us.
- Anthropic (Claude): with your permission, writes Homa's answers and checks what you say for signs that someone may be in danger. It receives what you say, as words, with what Homa remembers about you that bears on it, and, while your camera is on, stills from your camera.
- Google (Gemini): with your permission, Homa's ear and voice. It turns your voice into words and speaks Homa's replies during a call, and receives your voice during a call, the text of her replies and, while your camera is on, stills from your camera. On the website it also writes down what you say, and when our own system cannot turn a journal recording into text, Gemini does.
- Google (Sign-In and Workspace): "Sign in with Google" if you choose it (Google tells us your email and name), and delivery of the emails we send you, such as codes and trial reminders (your email address and the message).
- Google Play: payment for a plan bought in the Google Play app; Google tells us the purchase's status and dates.
- Apple: "Sign in with Apple" if you choose it (Apple tells us your email, or a private relay address, and the name you share), and payment for a plan bought in the App Store. If you delete your account, we ask Apple to revoke the sign-in.
- Stripe: payment for a plan bought on the web. Stripe collects your card details directly; we keep a customer reference and the charges.
- Twilio: sends the one-time code that confirms a phone number you give us. It receives your phone number and the code.
- Cloudflare: network and domain name services in front of myhoma.com and our app's servers. It handles your IP address and the requests and responses that pass through it.
- Google Fonts: our website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger): rents us a server that relays the audio and video of every call (our own call-routing software runs on it, so your call passes through it on its way to our servers) and where our off-site backups are stored, encrypted.
Everything else — your account, saved conversations, notes, memories, journal, calendar and safety records, Homa's face and the search over your conversations — is processed and stored on servers we operate, including a standby copy we keep so the Service can keep running if our main server fails. Notes, memories and quality grades are written by our own AI model on those servers, not by another company. No outside company draws Homa's face.
What the AI providers may do with it. Each AI provider above processes what it receives to do its job for us, under its terms with us. Those terms may let it keep that data for a limited time, for example to check for abuse, before deleting it, and some providers' standard terms let them use what they receive to improve their own models unless the customer opts out. We are working to have every provider exclude that use; until then we do not promise that none does.
7. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
- No-account preview: in memory only, discarded ten minutes after it ends unless you create an account and keep it.
- Account, profile, saved conversations, recordings, notes, mood check-ins, consents and reports: until you delete your account. Single conversations and recordings cannot be deleted on their own.
- Journal and calendar entries: until you delete them one by one, or your account.
- Memories: when you delete a memory in Settings › Memory, Homa stops using it at once; its text stays in your account's file until you delete your account. A memory learned in a conversation that was flagged for safety cannot be changed or deleted on its own; it goes when you delete your account.
- Standby copy: a copy of our database and files on a second server we operate, refreshed every five minutes; the database copies are replaced within two hours, and anything deleted on our main server is deleted from the copied files at the next refresh.
- Call transcript files on our call server: deleted after 30 days, and at once when you delete your account.
- Camera stills and voice-tone or expression readings: not stored.
- Sign-up codes: 15 minutes; a sign-up never confirmed is forgotten after 7 days.
- Safety (crisis) records: kept to protect people and to meet our reporting duties; when you delete your account, your name and your words are removed from them.
- Subscription terms you agreed to: three years, as the auto-renewal laws ask, without your conversations. Stripe, Apple and Google keep their own payment records under their terms.
- Technical information: your IP address and requests appear in our servers' and Cloudflare's logs, which are kept only as long as needed to run and secure the Service.
- Call-quality numbers and step counts: kept without any link to you.
- Backups: copies of our database kept so we can restore the Service. They are replaced as new ones are made, and each is deleted within 30 days.
8. HOW DELETION WORKS
You can delete your account yourself, at any time: in the app, tap your picture at the top right, choose Settings, then Delete my account; on the web, the same from myhoma.com/app. It happens at once and cannot be undone. The steps are also at myhoma.com/delete-account, or email [email protected] from the address you signed up with.
Deleting your account erases your account, profile, conversations, recordings, call transcripts, notes, memories, journal, calendar, choices and plan history, and cancels a plan bought on the web. A plan bought in the App Store or Google Play must be cancelled there. What stays is listed in section 7. You can also delete single memories in Settings › Memory (Homa stops using them at once; section 7 says what stays until your account is deleted), and single journal and calendar entries where you made them.
9. SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION
What you tell Homa may include information about your emotional or mental health, and the Service processes your voice and, if you switch it on, readings of your tone and expression. We use this sensitive personal information only to provide the Service you ask for, to check and improve its quality and to keep people safe, as the CCPA/CPRA permits; the only inference we keep about you is the safety level described in section 3. Third-party AI processing happens only after you agree, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in Settings.
10. YOUR RIGHTS
Wherever you live in the United States, you can:
- Know and access what we have about you, and take it with you: Settings, then Download my data, gives you everything on your account as one file.
- Delete it: section 8.
- Correct it: in your profile, or by writing to us.
- Withdraw a permission: Homa's AI companies, and expression or tone sensing, each in Settings. Saving is part of having an account: to withdraw it, delete your account (section 8).
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information and opt out of sale or sharing: we already limit it to providing the Service, and we do not sell or share.
- Not be treated differently for using these rights.
To use a right we cannot handle in Settings, email [email protected] from your account's address; we may ask you to confirm it is you. An authorized agent may ask for you with your signed permission. We answer within 45 days. Appeals: if we turn down a request, reply to our answer with "Appeal" and we will decide again within 45 days; if you are still not satisfied, you may contact your state's attorney general.
11. SECURITY
Your connection to us is encrypted, calls use encrypted WebRTC media, passwords are kept only as hashes, and the backups we keep off-site are encrypted. Staff access is limited to named people and every access is recorded. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires, including the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule and state breach-notice laws.
12. WHERE IT IS PROCESSED
MyHoma is offered in the United States. We process personal information in the United States; our service providers may process it in other countries where they operate, under their contracts with us.
13. CHANGES
We will post any change here with a new effective date, and tell you in the app or by email before a material change takes effect.
14. LANGUAGE
We may offer this Policy in other languages. The English version controls.
